New Gateway EDI NPI Warnings

As of May 1, 2007, all NPIs will be validated to ensure that they meet standard NPI format requirements. Any claims containing invalid NPIs will receive a warning message. Invalid NPI warning messages are not rejections; claims receiving warnings will still be forwarded to payers per the normal process. Gateway EDI’s NPI warnings will, however, help call attention to any NPIs that may cause format rejections at a later date.

Gateway EDI Acquires PMG

Gateway EDI, one of the nation’s fastest growing health care EDI providers, today announces the acquisition of Professional Management Group of Virginia, Inc. (PMG), Richmond, Va.

PMG is the largest submitter of electronic claims for Virginia providers, serving more than 500 facilities and 5,000 providers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

1st Quarter 99% Club Tips

Each quarter, we recognize clients who have achieved 99% Club member status. To earn membership, a practice must maintain a 1% or lower claim submission error rate for every month of a quarter. These practices have also been Gateway EDI clients for at least six months and submit over 200 claims per month.
